Aamir Khan starrer PK has set the Box Office on fire ever since its release. The film which hit the screens on December 19 is doing phenomenal business and has been making new records. PK has received stupendous response from the audience. The raving reviews and strong positive word of mouth has boosted up the films collections to a great extent.

 

PK which had an amazing opening week is still continuing its steady run in its second week. The film has minted Rs. 236. 38 cr so far. PK crossed the 100 crore mark on its fourth day and 200 crore mark on its ninth day.

PK Highest grossing film of 2014

Salman Khan's 'Kick' which had made a lifetime collection of Rs. 230.69 has held the record for the highest grossing film this year. PK after raking in Rs. 236.68 cr at the end of the second weekend has now become the highest grosser of 2014 pushing Kick to the second position. 

Also PK is the third highest grosser of Bollywood so far next to Dhoom 3 (Rs. 284.27) and Krrish 3 (244.92). 

 

PK crosses 200 crore mark

PK joined the 200 crore club in nine days similar to Dhoom 3. It is now one of the fastest film to achieve this feat in a short period. PK is the third 200 crore film this year after Kick and Happy New Year. 

 

PK is Aamir Khan's third film to enter the 200 crore club after Dhoom 3 and 3 Idiots. Also it is Anushkha's first film to be part of the prestigious club.

 

PK is expected to create new records in the coming week if the same trend continues at the Box Office. With New Year round the corner and no stiff competition at the Box office the film the film will continue its free run until the release of Tevar which hit the screens on January 9, 2015.
