Zed Plus Movie Review - A Zed Plus for all

Zed Plus Movie Review - A Zed Plus for all!

It was really pleasing to watch such an intelligent political satire after a very long time.  After Chanakya & Pinjar, director Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi brings a completely fresh concept of the Zed Security issues provided by the Government of India. It’s one of those movies in which you’ll die laughing but also take home a lot of enlightened thoughts.

A coalition Government, troubled by corruption and Communism, is on the verge of collapsing due to fights within the coalition partners. The anxious Prime Minister decides to visit a Dargah popularly known as Peepal Wale Peer Ki Dargah in Fatehpur - a small town of Rajasthan. Suddenly a sleeping town wakes up to welcome the Prime Minister. On his visit, the PM “Luck by Chance” meets a puncturewala – Aslam. Some strange conversation follows between a Prime Minister and a puncturewala and entire nation is surprised to learn that a puncturewala has been given Zed security by the Prime Minister! What follows is a unique story of a common man with Zed security.

Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi has kept it very simple and to the point. There are no songs that disrupt the brilliant story line of the movie. The director has payed attention to even the minutest of details. The wayKashmir has been personified as the girl next door that both the neighbors want is amazing. So are the wonderful dialogues like “Ghee khane ko de rahe hain ya sungne ko” & “main hindustani mein baat kar raha tha, wo angrezi mein samajh rahe they” depicting the feelings of a poor common man.

The performances by every single actor are top-notch. But it really is a director’s movie bringing out the best from his small characters. Also, special mention to K.K. Raina for his outstanding performance and also Adil Hussain for the honest speech he gives at the end of the movie.Such modest & sincere films are needed by Bollywood today and should be seen in theaters and encouraged.

Go watch it!
