Happy New Year joins the 200 crore club
Shahrukk Khan's latest release "Happy New Year" has joined the 200 crore club of Bollywood. The film has collected over Rs. 200 crore net in the domestic market. It has been doing good business in the overseas market as well.
HNY 2nd 200 crore film of 2014
Happy New Year is the second film this year to cross the coveted 200 crore mark after Salman Khan's Kick.
Kick had made a lifetime collection of Rs. 231.85. Kick joined the elite 200 crore club in 11 days. However Happy New Year has taken 19 days to cross the 200 crore mark.
While Aamir's Dhoom 3, managed the same in 9 days, establishing a new record of becoming the fastest film to reach the Rs. 200 crore mark.
HNY 6th entrant to the 200 crore club
With several movies entering this club in the last six years, the latest entrant "Happy New Year" is the sixth film to join the coveted club. "3 Idiots", "Chennai Express", "Krrish 3", "Dhoom 3" and "Kick" are already part of this club.
Aamir Khan's "3 Idiots" had collected Rs. 202 crore back in 2009, it was Shahrukh Khan's "Chennai Express" which revived the club of 200 crore movies in 2013. "Dhoom 3", "Krrish 3", "Kick" and "Chennai Express" took nine days, 10 days, 11 days and 15 days respectively to achieve this magical number at the Indian box office.
SRK's 2nd 200 crore film
ShahRukh Khan's Chennai Express was the first Rs. 200 crore film to achieve this feat. The film has made a lifetime collection of Rs. 227.13 cr. HNY is his second film to reach this milestone.
Aamir Khan has two films "3 Idiots" and "Dhoom 3" to his kitty while Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan have one film each to their credit.

After join the elite club with Chennai Express, Deepika has added another feather to her cap with Happy New Year. Others actresses who are part of this club include Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Jacqueline Fernandez and Priyanka Chopra.
