Tevar Trailer Review - More Style, Less Innovation!

Tevar’s trailer is out and surprisingly this remake of the hit telugu movie Okkadu is not as bad as it was looking from the motion posters. It looked like another Prabhudeva flick but debutant director Amit Sharma seems to offer a lot more than just raw style and action with Tevar. What guarantees this fact is the presence of the veteran actor Manoj Bajpayee and that too in a negative role and a very quirky music.

Manoj Bajpayee is a gangster of the town and falls for Sonakshi Sinha (Yes, It’s true) who ignores him at first but is forced by him later on. And comes to the rescue is our hero Arjun Kapoor (who plays the role of Pintoo, the rowdy boy next door) against the deadly villain.

The highlights of the trailer were the peppy music and the smart and crisp dialogues apart from the class actor Manoj Bajpayee. Although, there is no innovation as per the action and storyline is considered. In the last four-five years of bollywood, there has now been an overdose of masala and this movie is looking no different. But it shows us glimpses of fun we expect from this genre of movies.

Arjun Kapoor shows a good sign of versatility moving from a very offbeat role in Finding Fanny to this impressive action hero. He sure is working hard on his timing and delivery. Sonakshi Sinha is a typecast actress and doesn't want to break her shackles and Tevar is an addition to her very typical filmography.

Even though it looks like a typical masala movie but one can hope it to be a full-on entertainer because of the presence of the promising Manoj Bajpayee and an inspired storyline from the telegu superhit Okkadu.
