Happy New Year rakes in 100 crore in the opening weekend

Happy New Year has taken the box office by storm ever since its release. The film which hit the screens on October 24 has earned Rs. 108.86 crore in the opening weekend in the domestic market. 

HNY Highest Opening Day

Happy New Year broke the record of Dhoom 3 and became the highest opening day grosser. The film has collected Rs. 44.97 crore in the opening day. Earlier "Dhoom 3" starring Aamir Khan has remained in the top position with highest opening day income of Rs. 36.22 crore.

HNY Highest Opening Weekend 

Happy New Year has once again broken the record of Dhoom 3 and has raked in more than 100 crores in the opening weekend itself. Happy New Year has earned Rs. 108. 86 crore during the opening weekend while Dhoom 3 had collected Rs. 107.61. Happy New Year has now emerged as the highest opening weekend grosser of Bollywood.

A press release from Red Chillies Entertainment said: "Happy New Year, produced by Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt Ltd, continued to break records by having the biggest Box Office collection in India for the opening weekend. It has collected Rs. 108.86 Crs on the opening weekend all India, with Rs. 104.10 Crs in Hindi, Rs. 2.92 Crs in Telugu dub and Rs. 1.84 Crs in Tamil dub. HNY has become the highest opening weekend ranker in Indian films so far."

Friday - Rs. 44.97 cr

Saturday - Rs. 38 cr

Sunday - Rs. 25.89 cr

Total - Rs. 108.86 cr

Meanwhile, the film had a rocking opening in overseas market as well.
