Speculation about Dhanush entering politics has intensified following a charged speech at a recent blood donation drive organised by his fans. While the actor made no direct announcement, his words about the power of unity and the need to channelise it towards welfare work have set social media ablaze with political predictions.

"So many people have gathered in one place... This kind of unity has a power. You need to give that unity a positive way and a purpose. Join hands and do more welfare work. Do whatever you can for the people in your area," he said, stopping short of any formal declaration.

The speculation has been further fuelled by his fan club recently unveiling a flag for him — a move widely seen as a precursor to political activity, drawing comparisons to actor-turned-Chief Minister Vijay's trajectory. When Dhanush's father, director Kasthuri Raja, was asked about the possibility, he offered no clarity, saying simply, "You should ask him."

On the film front, Dhanush has a packed lineup including Om with Rajkumar Periasamy releasing October 16, D56 with Thamizharasan Pachamuthu, a reunion with Vetri Maaran for Thamizh Murugan and a project with Mari Selvaraj featuring AR Rahman's music.
