After months of speculation and schedule reshuffles, Vikram's Chiyaan 63 has officially gone on floors. Production house Sathya Jyothi Films announced the commencement of shooting on Tuesday with a special poster featuring the actor.

The film reunites Vikram with director Anand Shankar nearly a decade after their successful collaboration on Iru Mugan. The project was officially announced earlier this year and now moves into the production stage.

Actor-producer Riya Shibu has been cast as the female lead. The actress, who recently found success with Athiradi, also produced Vikram's Veera Dheera Soora - Part 2 under her HR Pictures banner.

On the technical front, Santhosh Narayanan has been roped in to compose the music, marking his reunion with Vikram after Mahaan. Chiyaan 63 also marks the actor's first collaboration with Sathya Jyothi Films, one of Tamil cinema's leading production houses. Further details regarding the film's plot and supporting cast are expected to be revealed in the coming months.
