Ranbir Kapoor has been named in TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People list this year, emerging as the only Indian actor to feature on it.
Other Indians on the prestigious list include Sundar Pichai and Vikas Khanna. The annual list recognises influential figures across fields such as cinema, arts, politics, and sports.
Ranbir Kapoor’s profile was written by actor Ayushmann Khurrana, who highlighted how the actor’s impact goes beyond box office metrics. He described Ranbir as someone who builds a lasting legacy through craft rather than chasing it, adding that his performances have subtly reshaped the audience’s emotional connection with cinema.
Ayushmann also noted that Ranbir’s understated and internalised acting style brings a quiet authenticity, presenting Indian culture with restraint and depth. He added that such performances help position actors like Ranbir as cultural bridges on the global stage.
Calling him more than just a movie star, Ayushmann said Ranbir represents an evolving India—one that is growing not just in scale but in sensitivity, while taking its stories to a wider international audience.
On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor will next be seen in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana: Part 1, alongside Sai Pallavi and Yash.
