The third instalment of the Force franchise has officially gone on floors. Force 3, starring John Abraham, is currently progressing with its first schedule.
Directed by Bhav Dhulia, the film marks John’s return as ACP Yashvardhan Singh. Harshvardhan Rane joins the franchise as the antagonist, while Tanya Maniktala plays the female lead. Details about the plot and Rane’s character remain under wraps.
Speaking about the film, John Abraham said Force has always been a franchise close to him, known for its grit and strong identity. He added that Force 3 aims to take that legacy forward on a bigger scale, while expressing excitement about introducing Harshvardhan Rane as an action hero.
Harshvardhan Rane, on his part, called it an honour to be part of the franchise, noting that the film offers him an opportunity to step into a hardcore action space. He also praised John Abraham’s journey in the industry and described working under Bhav Dhulia’s vision as a privilege.
Tanya Maniktala shared that being part of Force 3 is a significant moment in her career, adding that she looks forward to sharing screen space with both actors and contributing fully to the film.
Interestingly, Bhav Dhulia had earlier assisted the late Nishikant Kamat on Force (2011) and had worked with John during that time. Calling Force 3 a “homecoming,” the director said the project carries both history and emotion for him.
The film is produced by John Abraham’s JA Entertainment and Karolina Corporation, along with Shahbaz Alam, Sandeep Leyzell, and Minnakshi Das. Written by Simaab Hashmi, the film features music by Ravi Basrur with lyrics by Irshad Kamil.
Force 3 is slated for a theatrical release on March 19, 2027.
