Yash, who was present at CinemaCon 2026 in Los Angeles with producer Namit Malhotra to promote Ramayana, shared insights about working with Ranbir Kapoor in the epic film.

Speaking to international media, Yash revealed that the two actors do not share screen space in the film’s first installment. He explained that Ramayana is designed as a two-part narrative, where Ram and Ravana exist in separate worlds initially, with their paths crossing only as the story progresses.

On his off-screen dynamic with Ranbir Kapoor, Yash described him as a fine actor and said their mutual respect made collaboration easy. He added that the entire team stayed focused on one common goal — to deliver a film that lives up to its scale and ambition.

Yash also noted that discussions around on-screen chemistry were irrelevant, as the cast and crew were aligned in their vision. He emphasized that the experience of making Ramayana was both smooth and fulfilling for everyone involved.

In the film, Yash plays Ravana, while Ranbir Kapoor stars as Lord Ram. Sai Pallavi portrays Sita, with Sunny Deol as Hanuman. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film features music by AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer. It is produced by Namit Malhotra, with Yash also backing the project under Monster Mind Creations.
