Actor Dhanush, who is awaiting the release of Kara directed by Vignesh Raja, has a packed slate ahead including projects with Rajkumar Periasamy and Mari Selvaraj. However, recent developments suggest a reshuffle in his lineup.

Director Tamizharasan Pachamuthu on Wednesday shared a black-and-white photo from a village temple, revealing that he has begun location recce for Dhanush’s D56. The update has sparked speculation that Mari Selvaraj’s planned collaboration with the actor may be facing delays in pre-production.

Tamizharasan’s project is currently in its early stages, with details about the title, storyline and cast yet to be announced. Meanwhile, Mari Selvaraj had earlier described his film with Dhanush as a large-scale fantasy, historical and political drama, backed by Vels Film International and featuring music by A. R. Rahman.
