Actor Kalaiyarasan’s long-pending film Kolaiseval is finally set for a theatrical release. Producer RP Bala announced that the film will hit screens on March 13, marking nearly three years since its title and first-look poster were unveiled.

Written and directed by debutant V. R. Thudhivaanan, the film also stars Deepa Balu, known for her role in the series Heart Beat, along with Bala Saravanan and Aadhav. Backed by RP Bala under the RP Films banner in association with Kousalya Bala, the project has remained under wraps regarding its storyline.

The latest poster features Kalaiyarasan and Deepa seated outside a house, with a mural of composer Ilaiyaraaja in the backdrop, hinting that the duo may be portraying a married couple, with Deepa’s character appearing pregnant.

The film’s technical team includes cinematographer P. G. Muthiah, music composer Santhan and editor Ajay Manoj. Kalaiyarasan was last seen in Thandakaaranyam and also has Street in the pipeline.
