Director Vignesh Karthick has officially confirmed Hot Spot 3 following the successful theatrical run of Hot Spot 2 Much. The sequel itself hinted at a continuation, and the filmmaker has now announced that the franchise will move forward with a third installment.

Sharing his thoughts, Vignesh revealed that although the film may not be a conventional blockbuster, it earned nearly six times more than the 2024 original and satisfied the producers, making it a project very close to his heart. He also explained that box office success depends on scale — a big-budget film slightly exceeding its cost can be termed a hit, while a small-budget film multiplying its returns becomes a blockbuster.

In recognition of the film’s performance, producers Aneel Reddy, Suresh Kumar, and Robbie gifted the director a car. Thanking audiences for their support, Vignesh added that before Hot Spot 3, he will soon announce his next full-length feature.
