Insider Report - Mani Ratnam in talks with Mahesh Babu?

Mani Ratnam is now ready with his next script after his forgettable 'Kadal' last year. Mani Ratnam's next project is also expected to be a multi-lingual movie (Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam). Couple of team members on-boarded as part of this project so far are musician AR Rahman and cinematographer Ravi Varman. Ravi Varman's work has been noticed in Anniyan followed by Vettaiyadu Vilayadu, Dasavatharam and more recently in Hindi movies Barfi and Ram-Leela. 

Will Mani Ratnam launch Mahesh Babu in Tamil?

Mahesh Babu has a great fan following in Tamil Nadu. But, Mahesh Babu is particular about entering the Tamil market with a direct release under the helm of an accomplished director. This has come very close to fruition with Mani Rathnam and Mahesh Babu meeting happening in December 2013. Based on Nenokkadine's result, Mahesh Babu and Mani Ratnam are expected to make a decision soon on remuneration and budget. With script in completion stage, other cast and technicians are also expected to be finalized soon.
