Buzz: Rajinikanth and Maharaja Director Nithilan May Team Up After Jailer 2

There is strong buzz in the Tamil film industry about a possible collaboration between Superstar Rajinikanth and Nithilan Saminathan, the director of the recent hit Maharaja. This speculation has been gaining attention on social media and fan forums.

Reports suggest that discussions are in progress, though there is no official confirmation yet. If it happens, the project will bring together Rajinikanth’s mass appeal and Nithilan’s fresh storytelling style.

Rajinikanth is currently working on Coolie, which is set to release in 2025, and will move on to Jailer 2, scheduled to shoot in 2025 and release in 2026. Nithilan, after the success of Maharaja, has become one of the most promising new-generation directors in Tamil cinema.

While the production house is yet to be confirmed, earlier rumours linked the project to Red Giant Movies.
