Silambarasan TR Joins Vetri Maaran for New Film in Vada Chennai Universe

Silambarasan TR and Vetri Maaran have started working on a new film set in the Vada Chennai universe. This is their first project together, and STR will play a member of the Rajan Vagaigara gang, which is an important part of the original story.

The film began shooting in June 2025 in Ennor, Chennai, and will feature actors like Andrea Jeremiah, Samuthirakani, and Kishore from the original cast. There is also talk that STR and Dhanush might act together in Vada Chennai 2, which is set to begin filming next year.

The new film will include Kavin and Manikandan in cameo roles, and Nelson Dilipkumar will make a guest appearance. GV Prakash Kumar is composing the music.
