Sobhita Dhulipala Returns in Heartwarming Family Drama 'Love Sitara', Premiering September 27 on Zee5

Actor Sobhita Dhulipala returns to the cinema in Love Sitara, a family drama. The teaser, which was published on Thursday, portrays Sobhita as a Kerala girl who falls in love with a Punjabi cook, leading them to marry. Cultural differences, as well as her problematic family, stand in the way of their happiness. Rajeev Siddhartha stars as the male lead.

The trailer depicts Tara (Sobhita), an independent interior designer who never believed in marriage—until she met Arjun (Rajeev), a chef on the verge of international success. Their seemingly flawless relationship is tested when a surprise marriage proposal is made due to unanticipated circumstances. As wedding preparations begin at Tara's house, ancient family conflicts and buried secrets emerge.

The film tackles the difficulties of modern relationships, the strain of family expectations, and the fortitude required to confront uncomfortable facts.

Sobhita Dhulipala explained why she accepted the role, saying, "What intrigued me to this role is that it recounts the narrative of a girl who finds the strength to break free from her conditioning and be true to herself. She is quite close to her family and will fight for what she believes in, even if it is difficult. Sitara's character exudes dignity and relatability, which I believe all women can identify with. We shot this beautiful family drama in Kerala, confronting unusual circumstances during the Covid lockdowns. I hope this wonderful story resonates with you as it did with all of us.
