Mathu Vadalara (2019) is a hilarious Telugu language comedy thriller that marked the debut of writer, director Ritesh Rana. The hit movie from Mythri Movie Makers starred actor Sri Simha in the lead, and had music by Sri Simha's brother Kaala Bhairava (Both Sri Srimha and Kaala Bhairava are sons of Oscar winning music composer MM Keeravani, and nephews of the acclaimed Telugu director SS Rajamouli). 

This team has now returned with a sequel titled Mathu Vadalara 2. On Friday, Mythri Movie Makers unveiled an equally hilarious Mathu Vadalara 2 teaser, which can be viewed above (with English subtitles). Mathu Vadalara 2 sees the return of actors Sri Simha and Satya, who are now special agents of an emergency handling organization called 'He'. The film has Faria Abdullah playing female lead. 

Clap Entertainment has co-produced Mathu Vadalara 2 along with Mythri Movie Makers. Director Ritesh Rana has co-written the sequel with R. Teja, just like the prequel. The technical crew of Mathu Vadalara 2 includes Kaala Bhaiarava for music, Suresh Sarangam for cinematography, and Karthika Srinivas for the edits.

Mathu Vadalara 2 release date is September 13, 2024. Actor Vennela Kishore who was killed in the first movie, is also seen in the teaser for part 2. The first movie Mathu Vadalara is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video OTT platform.
