Bollywood actor Ritesh Deshmukh made his directorial debut with the Marathi blockbuster titled Ved, which released in theaters on December 30, 2022. The movie reunited Ritesh with his wife-actress Genelia, who made her Marathi debut with Ved and also served as a producer on the film. Ved is now all set for a digital premiere and Disney Plus Hotstar has officially announced that the movie's OTT release date to be April 28, 2023 [Friday].

Ved will stream in both Marathi and Hindi languages. Also starring Jiyaa Shankar in a pivotal role, Ved revolves around Shravani (Genelia Deshmukh), an Indian Railways employee who is married to her childhood crush, Satya (Riteish Deshmukh) - a former aspiring cricketer and an alcoholic. Satya, on the other hand, is pining for his former girlfriend Nisha (Jiyaa Shankar). The romantic drama comes with a runtime of 2 hours and 28 minutes.
