Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon starrer horror comedy Bhediya has awaited digital premiere for over 5 months now. The movie, part of producer Dinesh Vijan's horror-comedy universe [that also has Stree (2018), Roohi (2021)] released in theaters on November 25, 2022. And Jio Cinema which held its streaming rights delayed Bhediya's OTT release due to an impending merger with Voot Select. 

Reports are rife that Jio Voot is all set to be launched as a single streaming platform and Bhediya's long-awaited OTT release date will be April 21, 2023. An official announcement on the same is however awaited. 

Bhediya is about Stree Jana's cousin Bhaskar (Varun Dhawan) who gets bit by a wolf giving him werewolf abilities. Why and how does this happen, what are the motives behind this and what is the endgame is what Bhediya story is all about. Kriti Sanon plays female lead in this movie which is written by Niren Bhatt and directed by Amar Kaushik.
