Director Pa. Ranjith who had a successful 2021 with Sarpatta Parambarai and Writer (as producer), is now beginning 2022 with the wrap of his next directorial Natchathiram Nagargirathu. The movie touted to be a complete love story stars Kalidas Jayaram, Dushara Vijayan, Kalaiyarasan, Shabeer Kallarakkal among others, and will be the first Pa. Ranjith directorial with no Santhosh Narayanan (SaNa) for music.

After teaming up with SaNa in his first five directorials, Pa. Ranjith has opted for Gundu fame Tenma for his sixth. Natchathiram Nagargirathu is jointly produced by Pa. Ranjith's Neelam Productions and Yaazhi Films and is expected to release this year.
