Karthik Aryan's exit from Karan Johar produced Dostana 2 was unceremonious; The actor quit the movie after 16 days of shooting and Karan Johar declared that he or his associates will never work with the actor again. Karthik has now once again quit another major project, once again over 'creative differences' and the movie Freddie was an upcoming production from Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies.

Reportedly Karthik Aryan was not satisfied with the script by director Ajay Bahl, and was unhappy with the casting of Katrina Kaif, an actress much older than him for a romance story. The actor is also said to have returned his signing amount though neither Karthik nor Red Chillies have issued an official announcement regarding the same.

Karthik is currently awaiting the Netflix release of Dhamaka, an official remake of the South Korean action-thriller The Terror Live.
