Mohanal's debut directorial Barroz - Guardian of D'Gama's Treasure, the upcoming 3D film has begun shooting at Fort Kochi and recently the actor shared pictures from day 1 captioning, "And the Camera starts Rolling! First day of shoot. Action! #Barroz."

Barroz is about a man who took care of Vasco Da Gama's treasure when he invaded India and in the movie he is waiting for the rightful heir to claim it. The film written by Jijo Punnoose, director of India's first 3D film My Dear Kuttichathan. 

The technical crew of Barroz includes child prodigy Lydian Nadhaswaram for music, Santhosh Sivan for cinematography, Sreekar Prasad for edits and Santhosh Raman for art.
