Actress Samantha Akkineni was brought in as a stand-in host for father-in-law Nagarjuna, for the Dusshera special episode of reality TV show Bigg Boss Telugu Season 4. While the contestants were delighted at the pleasant surprise, one more actor from the Akkineni family, Akhil (Nagarjuna's second son) also made a guest appearance and chose Mehaboob-Ariyana as the best contestant pair from a task that was performed mid-way.

While contestant Divi got shockingly eliminated, actress Samantha requested actor Karthik to give Divi a role in his upcoming film. From the three-hour long episode, Bigg Boss fans also noticed that while Samantha appreciated contestant Ariyana's game, she never missed a chance to taunt contestant Avinash.
