Following the grand success of ‘Kabir Singh’, Shahid Kapoor has now started preparing for his role as a cricketer in his untitled next. The film, as known earlier is a remake of commercially successful Telugu movie ‘Jersey’ that starred Nani and Shraddha Srinath in lead roles. Gowtham Tinnanuri, who wielded megaphone for the original version will be helming this remake as well. The actor is seen regularly hitting the net practice to get himself inclined to good cricketing skills. It is not yet confirmed, who will be playing his love interest in the movie. It is noteworthy that Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh was a remake of Telugu blockbuster hit ‘Arjun Reddy’. The film’s shooting will be commencing shortly and will have a worldwide release on August 28, 2020.
