Karan Johar has made an official announcement regarding the cast of Dostana 2 on his Twitter page. Kartik Aaryan and Jahnvi Kapoor will be teaming for the sequel of Dostana while a new comer (male lead) will be joining the cast as well. The third lead is yet to be finalised and the announcement will be made soon.

Karan Johar had tweeted, "The return of the franchise with unlimited madness! @TheAaryanKartik, #Janhvi & a soon to be launched fresh face - making it the trio for #Dostana2, directed by @CollinDcunha. Watch out for the third suitable boy!"

Directed by debutant Collin D’Cunha, the story has been penned by Navjot Gulati, Sumit Aroraa, Rishabh Sharma and Collin D’Cunha. Dostana 2 is produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Johar and Apoorva Mehta. 

Dostana 2 will be the sequel to 2008 romantic comedy of the same name. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Karan Johar, Dostana starred Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles.
