Mahesh Babu's 26th film which was tentatively dubbed as SSMB26 has been launched with an official pooja ceremony and the film's title was revealed to be Sarileru Neekevvaru.

The title poster features a rifle and a soldier's hat next to the title font and announced the film's release plans to be during Sankranthi, 2020.

The pooja ceremony saw the team of Sarileru Neekevvaru sans Mahesh Babu addressing the press and Rashmika Mandanna was announced as the female lead of the film.

Talking to media, director Anil Ravipudi revealed that Mahesh Babu will be playing the role of an Army major and that the film will go on floors from June, 2019.
