Thalapathy 63 is director Atlee's third project with Vijay and the film produced by AGS Entertainment was officially launched last month in Chennai. Vijay will be seen playing a football coach to a women's team of 16 and Meesaya Murukku actress Aathmika is said to be playing one of the team members.

The latest about the film is that Pariyerum Perumal fame actor 'Kathir', who was earlier rumoured to be a part of the film, has joined the cast of Thalapathy 63.
