Vidyut Jammwal will be playing the lead actor in Mahesh Manjrekar’s Hindi directorial comeback film. Shruti Haasan has been signed as the leading lady opposite Vidyut Jammwal. The duo is set to share the screen space for the second time after Yaara, which is yet to release. 

Producer Vijay Galani, had earlier confirmed that Vidyut has been signed as the lead actor. The latest we hear is that Shruti has signed on the dotted line and allotted the dates for the film as well. The story is about a NRI returning to his hometown and how things change for him. The film is set in the ’90s. Shruti plays a small-town girl who falls in love with Vidyut’s character, an NRI. 

The yet-to-be-titled gritty family drama also stars Naseeruddin Shah, Amol Palekar and Prateik Babbar. Manjrekar’s movie goes on the floors in April.
