Karan Johar has made an announcement of his next production venture 'Rannbhoomi'. Varun Dhawan plays the lead role. Shashank Khaitan who had earlier directed Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania will be directing this film. This is the third time the trio actor Varun Dhawan, Director Shashank Khaitan and producer Karan Johar are colloborating together for a project.

Rann Bhoomi is a warrior film, which showcases love, relationships, sacrifices, revenge and heroism. The film is said to be a love story at heart with an element of revenge at the core. Rannbhoomi is set to hit the screens for Diwali 2020. The details of the rest of the cast will be announced soon.
