There was a big bang announcement from Kollywood about Kaala's release date, on Saturday. The film will release on April 27. As we all know, Rajini is also a huge brand in Telugu and Kaala will most definitely simultaneously release with a Telugu dubbed version too.

Already in Tollywood, we have the likes of Mahesh Babu's Bharath Ane Nenu and Allu Arjun's Naa Peru Surya slated to release on April 27. The latest from both these teams is that there isn't any change in their release plans, though Kaala has suddenly entered the ring. Both these films are nearing the finish line of their shooting, according to plan. Mahesh Babu vs. Allu Arjun is in itself a great contest. Now, with Rajini also in the fray, it's going to be mouth-watering for Telugu movie buffs. 

It must be noted that before the Kaala announcement, the Telugu industry wasn't too happy with 2.0's April 27 release plans (after multiple postponements), due to a possible clash with the aforementioned Telugu biggies. That didn't bear fruition and Kaala has now taken 2.0's place.  Let's see if there will be any change in this new epic three-way April 27 face-off.
