Release date announced for Sanjay Dutt Biopic
The release date of Ranbir Kapoor's upcoming untitled film on Sanjay Dutt has been announced as June 29, 2018. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the movie also stars Paresh Rawal as Sanjaý's father Sunil Dutt, Manisha Koirala as his mother Nargis, Dia Mirza as Sanjay Dutt's current wife Maanyata while Anushka Sharma, Vicky Kaushal and Sonam Kapoor play vital roles.
Speaking about the biographical dram, protagonist Ranbir Kapoor had earlier said, "...it's not a propaganda film trying to portray him (Dutt) as God or something. We are trying to show a very human side of Sanjay Dutt, his perils, his downfall, his will to fight, his time in jail, terrorism charges, his drug phase, how he handled his mother's death two days before the release of his debut film, his relationship with his father. These were human conflicts in his life."
