"People still talk about Paruthiveeran and compare all my films with it" - Karthi

The Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru team met the press in Chennai yesterday to celebrate their success and also as a mark of Thanksgiving. Karthi delivered a very good speech which impressed one and all,

"We are happy to have delivered a film which has shown the police force in respectable light. Many officers called to congratulate me. Only officers who work with real passion and not just for salary could've pulled off such a tough operation.

Suriya anna keeps advising me to work hard and that hard work is like adding on to a savings bank account, which will benefit us one day and maybe not immediately. In my career, it's been really hard to match up to Paruthiveeran. People still talk about that film and compare all my other films with it. Thankfully, lot of people have liked Theeran too. My hardcore fans liked Rathnavel Pandian of Siruthai more, due to the mass appeal factor but Theeran has given me a lot of satisfaction.

Once Vinoth has a script and story for another part, we'll surely do a sequel. My immediate next film will be with Pandiraj and it'll be a proper village subject."

 

Karthi is currently involved in a long schedule for this Pandiraj film in Tenkasi. Sayyeshaa plays the heroine, while Priya Bhavani Shankar is also a part of the cast.
