Who will compose music for Vijay 62?

If one may recall, we did an early report on the prospective music composers of the now tentatively titled Thalapathy 62 (also known as Vijay 62) - a Vijay, A.R. Murugadoss film. Our list included names of tried and tested composers like Harris Jayaraj, Anirudh and G.V. Prakash, with confirmation leaning mostly towards the first two.

However, with time news has started emerging that A.R. Murugadoss is interested in trying out a fresh composer altogether for his lead actor and names like Sam C.S and Hiphop Tamizha aka Aadhi were suggested by some media reports.

The news too did not come as a surprise, given that the team recently zeroed in on a young cinematographer (Girish Gangadharan) leaving their initial choice of an established Santosh Sivan. However, the team of Vijay 62 still maintains that they haven't officially signed anyone yet as their music director and denials from the parties involved have already started cropping up. 

Vijay 62 is all set to begin shooting by January 2018 and will be bankrolled by Sun Pictures. The movie is Vijay's third collaboration with director A.R. Murugadoss.
