Actress Samiksha Bhatnagar opens up about her Poster Boys team and more

Actress Samiksha Bhatnagar who began her career in front of the camera through TV soap Ek Veer Ki Ardaas..Veera, made her first silverscreen apperance in Madhur Bhandarkar's Calendar Girls. Two years down the lane, she bagged herself a meaty role in the now released slapstick comedy Poster Boys. While the film continues to run in theatre screens, the actress opens up to Movie Crow about her experience of working with the team and more. 

You have been doing TV for a while now. How did Poster Boys come your way?

I've always wanted to become a movie actor and though I have a theatre and dance background, I wanted to explore till the right opportunity came along. TV has taught me a lot and just like for any film, I auditioned for Poster Boys. My time was good and I believe it was destiny that decided that I be a part of this film. 

Shreyas Talpade was turning director for the first time with Poster Boys. Did you have any apprehensions about working with a debutant?

Poster Boys was more or less like a comeback film for the Deol brothers (Sunny and Bobby). When they, who have so much of experience could come on board, who was I to judge Shreyas (Talpade)? Besides I've always admired him as an actor and I was anything but happy to work with him, in the film and in the role that I played. 

You have played Bobby Deol's wife in the film..

Yes and most of my shooting portions were with him. The entire shoot was a breeze because of both Shreyas (Talpade) and Bobby (Deol). I play a mother of 2 little girls yet my role is very strong. 

Though my role has a little spice to it, Poster Boys is a completely family-oriented film. Every actor I worked with was hilarious, and the same has tranformed on-screen. I feel happy when I read "Samiksha as Surajmukhi (her character in the film) has done well" 

Samiksha Bhatnagar is currently reading the scripts offered to her from both TV and Films. As she basks in the success of her big break, we wish her all success and glory in the upcoming days.
