Sanjay Gupta gears up for his 'Kaante' sequel?
After the success of Kaabil, director Sanjay Gupta is now planning a sequel to his critically acclaimed movie, ‘Kaante’. Sanjay Gupta’s ‘Kaante’ is one of the best action-thrillers ever made in Bollywood. Even Quentin Tarantino was impressed with the Indian remake of his debut movie.
Rumours abound that Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham too have been approached, to be a part of the same. The sequel will not be based on the same story but more of a different story under the same franchise.
Kaante’ was about six robbers who come together to rob a bank in New York. However, the heist is interrupted by the police, resulting in shootout where one of the robbers gets injured. The robbers realise that there is police mole in their group. Starring Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Suneil Shetty, Mahesh Manjrekar, Kumar Gaurav and Lucky Ali in the lead. It was the remake of the 1992 Quentin Tarantino movie, ‘Reservoir Dogs’.
