Anil Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor teamup again for 'Mubarakan' sequel

After the success of Anees Bazmee’s ‘Mubarakan’ over the past weekend, plans are already being put into place for a sequel.

The family entertainer starring Arjun Kapoor and Anil Kapoor, has clocked up nearly Rs. 30 crore in its first weekend of release.

Bazmee was cited in The Asian Age confirming plans for the sequel. He said, “Yes, we’re going to go ahead with a sequel to Mubarakan. The characters have been so unconditionally embraced by the audiences. Jee haan, thoda sa waqt laga raftaar pakadne mein (the film took a while to catch on). That was because this was comedy without vulgarity. We don’t have that any more in Hindi cinema. Family comedies died with Hrishikesh Mukherjee.”
