SRK's Jab Harry Met  Sejal release delayed in UAE

Jab Harry Met Sejal starring Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma is slated to hit the screens on August 4 in India. It has been a long standing tradition for Indian films to release in Dubai/UAE on Thursday, thus ensuring that the Friday Nawaz crowd attends prayers without any disturbance or distraction. 

However, Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma's upcoming romantic drama 'Jab Harry Met Sejal' was earlier reported to be the first film that had decided to break this tradition and go ahead with a worldwide release on Friday (August 4.)

As per reports in DNA, a source close to the development explained by saying, "Shah Rukh and Red Chillies did contemplate shifting the release date in Dubai and UAE to Friday, as the Thursday release poses the danger of piracy from Dubai and of early reviews from the Middle East. But after the backlash, the prior release date was restored.”

Jab Harry Met Sejal has been directed by Imtiaz Ali. It is the third film together for SRK and Anushka after Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Jak Tak Hai Jaan.
