Anushka Sharma to produce web-series

Anushka Sharma has turned producer early on in her career and has made a name for herself with some original stories in Bollywood. Now, this multifaceted actress is all set to take a plunge into the world of web series under her banner Clean Slate Films.

Talking to Deccan Chronicle, Sharma said, “As a production house, we are already working on something. I hope it works out, for the time, effort and monies put into it. I know it will, because it gives the directors a platform to do something very different from the movies.”

Elaborating further on the project, she said, “It’s a different way of storytelling because in a web series you are trying to string a story over a few episodes. And whoever works in this medium needs to understand how to utilise this platform to its fullest because it’s a great avenue.”

She added, “As an actor, it’s exciting to work on a character and be able to develop it in a few episodes. It’s a new experience, but the audience is encouraging.”
