Akshay Kumar replaced by Arjun Kapoor in Namastey London sequel?

Arjun Kapoor has been roped in to play the lead in the sequel to Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘Namastey London’. The sequel will feature Arjun as a desi Romeo, while his leading lady will be an ambitious Punjabi girl.  Vipul Amrutlal Shah had announced the sequel back in 2015, but the quirky love story will finally go on the floors in early 2018. 

Reported in Bollywood Hungama, Akshay Kumar who originally played the character of Arjun Singh has opted out of being a part of the franchise due to having other work commitments and has made way for Kapoor to take the reigns. There had been speculation of a possible fall out between Kumar and producer Vipul Shah, but these rumours have been laid to rest, with Kumar himself agreeing to changes before kick starting new projects.

‘Namastey England’ is said to go on floors in early 2018, and will again be shot in England as well as Punjab.
