2017 seems to be the year for the actor in SJ Suryah who laid the foundation of his comeback with Iraivi last year. This year looks promising for him despite the initial confusion over the release of his most awaited film Nenjam Marapathillai. According to the actor, this Selvaraghavan directorial is expected to hit theatre screens sometime in July, 2017. He is also a part of two prestigious projects - Spyder with AR Murugadoss and Mersal with Vijay and Atlee, which are expected to release for Aayutha Poojai and Diwali i.e September 2017 and October 2017 respectively. 

The actor confirms that his other project as a lead - Iravakaalam with Maaya director Ashwin Saravanan has completed 50 percent of shooting and will most probably be out in theatres for Christmas i.e. December 2017. Apart from these ongoing projects, Suryah has also given his nod to two more scripts which is expected to go on floors by September this year. Looks like the actor-director is making up for the big lull in his career and is in no mood to stop.
