Aamir Khan to play astronaut Rakesh Sharma in biopic?

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is all set to star in another biopic based on the astronaut. The 'PK' actor will portray as Rakesh Sharma, the first Indian to fly into space, reported a leading daily.

The report suggests that the film will be the story of retired Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma and it will be titled Salute and will be co- produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Aamir Khan.

The film was initially rumoured to be titled 'Saare Jahaan Se Achha', Sharma's response to the then Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi's question asking how India looked from outer space. The makers, however, have changed the title to 'Salute'.

"Siddharth had approached Aamir with the script of his last film and this time too he went straight to him. The 2018 film will be made under his newly-launched banner RK Films (Roy Kapur Films). It will be directed by Mahesh Mathai," revealed a source to the leading daily. Although, there is no confirmation from Mr. Perfectionist side yet.
