Dangal crosses 300 crore mark worldwide


Aamir Khan starrer, Dangal that released a week ago now has continued to do well at the box office. Dangal is a biopic on Mahavir Singh Phogat directed by Nitesh Tiwari has managed to capture the audiences’ interest across the board.

 

After a week since its release on December 23, Dangal has finally crossed the Rs 300-crore mark at the box office, taking into account both domestic earnings and money made from the international market.

 

So far, until Thursday, Dangal has grossed Rs 300 crore worldwide, with Rs 197 crore coming in from India and another Rs 103 crore coming from overseas collections. Trade analyst Taran Adarash tweeted

 

 

 

Dangal is the second film this year, after Salman Khan’s Sultan, which is based on the world of home-trained wrestlers. Dangal has surpassed the opening weekend box-office collection of Salman Khan's Sultan. Sultan crossed Rs 105.34 crore in its opening weekend (calculating first three days of release as opening weekend). Dangal crossed 106.95 crore in its opening weekend.

Total – Rs. 197.53 cr

 

After Dangal, Aamir Khan will be seen next in director Advait Chandan's Secret Superstar where the actor is playing a cameo role.
