Dangal crosses Rs 100 crore mark in opening weekend Box Office

Aamir Khan and Shakshi Tanwar starrer Dangal and directed by Nitesh Tiwari has achieved yet another milestone at the Box Office. The movie was highly appreciated by critics as well as the audience.

The film has entered the coveted 100 crore club in its opening weekend itself. The film has made a collection of Rs. 106.95 crore till Sunday. The film had made phenomenal collection over the weekend in both domestic and overseas market.

Box Office Breakup

Friday - Rs. 29.78 cr

Saturday - Rs. 34.82 cr

Sunday - Rs. 42.35 cr

Total - Rs. 106.95 cr.

Dangal has a record sale of satelitte rights for close to 75 Crore to Zee TV this is the highest ever amount paid for a hindi movie.

The Highest First Weekend Grossers are Happy New Year (108.86 crore including the Dubbed Versions) and Dhoom 3 (107.61 crore including the dubbed versions).

1. Dangal  is 8th highest opening on All Time Top opening days of Bollywood  list and is ahead of opening of Aamir Khan's PK and Salman Khan's Barangi Bhaijaan which are top two highest grossing movies of all time. 

 2. This is second highest opening of 2016 after Sultan.

3. This is second Highest Non Holiday opening ever behind Dhoom 3.

4.  This is also 2nd Highest ever opening day for Aamir Khan in his career after Dhoom 3.
