Post the release of the first look of Rajinikanth starrer 2.0, the movie has garnered a lot of positive response from domestic and international markets. This inturn has lead the makers, Lyca Productions to officially make it the costliest Indian movie ever made with the budget being announced as 400 crores. While the media and fans are still recovering from this piece of information, industry sources suggest that the team is planning on roping in a Telugu superstar to do a cameo in the film. While Chiranjeevi and Mahesh Babu are the names rumoured, grapevine suggests that the former name is more likely to do the guest role. With Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar already playing the antagonist Dr. Richard (the ornithologist), if the cameo is confirmed then the movie would officially see stars from different industries (Bollywood, Tollywood, Kollywood) in a single screen. 

Directed by Shankar, 2.0 is the sequel to his earlier film Enthiran / Robo and will simultaneously be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
