Thuppaki for 'Diwali'!

Vijay’s ‘Thuppakki’ is stuck in title controversy is a known news.  Gemini Film Circuit has announced in a press note that Thuppakki will hit the screens for Diwali irrespective of the ongoing title issue. They have also mentioned that the film title may be changed if a final verdict is not out on September 10, the date on which the next hearing has been scheduled. The hearing of the case being postponed now and then to various dates seems to have forced them to this decision. However the makers are hopeful that there will not be further delays in the judgment.

Though the makers have sought a solution to the title issue, the internal clash between producer Kalaipuli S. Dhanu and distributors Gemini Film Circuit (GFC) seems to be unresolved as we had reported earlier in our article 'Who is the producer of Thuppaki?'. It is evident from the fact that both Dhanu and GFC are making their own press releases as Producers.
