Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor to team up for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmavati'?

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are playing lead roles in Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s Padmavati. According to a recent report in Spotboye, Shahid Kapoor has been approached to play the role of Raja Rawal Ratan Singh of Mewar, which would make him Deepika’s husband in the film.

The report quoted a source saying, "Bhansali wants Shahid to play the Chittor King who is married to Rani Padmini of Chittorgarh." Ranveer will be seen playing her obsessive lover Sultan Alauddin Khilji. Recently there were rumours that Vicky Kausal who was earlier supposed to essay this part opted out of the film and Dippy refused to star opposite a TV actor. Going by this scenario, it highly looks like our dream of watching Shahid, Ranveer and Deepika together might come true soon.

 

If Sasha signs the dotted line this would be his first outing with Bhansali while Ranveer-Deepika have previously collaborated with the director for 'Ram Leela' and 'Bajirao Mastani'.
