Bangistan Review: yawn worthy

Ameet Bhuvan

There was a flicker of a promise in the trailer of this film - somwhwere I hoped mainstream Bollywood would pull off a tere bin laden. Then again this films usp was a Saturday night dance song starring Jaqueline fernandes . so yeah it was my fault to expect anything from it.

Bangistaan is the most bored you would be in a movie hall this season.

Two guys , bumbling idiots , are sucked into a terror plot and are responsible for two deadly bombs to go off. Sadly the script explodes into a huge mess way before the fun can begin in the film.

There is little sense to what ensues on screen. Somewhere the film tries hard to be a witty smart satire but it is I'll equipped and rests solely on cheap humour to find the laughs.

Both pulkit and hrithesh try hard to elevate the proceedings. They are severely let down by a nonsensical loose canon of a script . their shenanigans loose steam well into the first half hour of the film. From then on it is us watching them find what exactly the point of the film is.

Stay far far away from this one. It is a lot of noise and no real fun.
