Breaking News - Maattrraan is almost Twice as Big as Billa 2

Maattrraan distribution rights for Tamil Nadu, including Kerala and Karnataka, have been sold to Eros International for an astronomical amount today. Hold your breath! Our sources quote the distribution rights for Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka have been sold for a record price of 43 Crores. 

The negotiation has been happening over some time and Eros officially signed the contract today. In addition to that, Maattrraan has already done a business of Rs. 17 Crores in Telugu and Rs. 12 Crores in Overseas markets. The remaining that are still in the process of being sold are Satellite rights and rest of India rights which are expected to go for additional total of Rs. 12 Crores to Rs. 15 Crores taking the final tally to Rs. 75 Crores to Rs. 80 Crores.

Industry is shocked to know that Maattrraan upside market value of Rs. 80 Crores is roughly double that of Billa 2 which was ~44 Crores.
