Action Jackson Trailer Review - “Yet another Prabhudheva film”

Prabhudheva is making films at much faster rate than anyone in the Hindi film industry. This is his fourth film since June 2012. After all, he has little to do with the script- just pick up one from the south, reuse the same fly-in-air action scenes, same sets of which Sonakshi Sinha is a part, and, really, how much time would actually go into thinking dialogues like “Na commitment, na appointment, only punishment!” as in this one?!

The dialogues mouthed here seem to be a constant take on Salman Khan in such films- “Pasand aaya toh dil mein nahi toh dimaag me bhi nahi!” And is a Prabhudheva film even complete without one misogynistic line? It’s “Pant utaarte hi saamne aa jati hai” in this one. Sigh.

Action Jackson stars Ajay Devgn and he seems to play it no different than what he did in Son Of SardaarHimmatwala, Singham and all. Sonakshi, as said, is a part of the sets of the film. Even the Shaolin swords held by Devgn in the film will have more role than her! And, yeah, Shaolin swords are cool to be used in a Hindi action film and we got the reference but what’s up with using the same Kill Bill fonts?

However, Prabhudheva mostly gets the masala genre right. Though such films are a passé now, he will find his audience.
